Chimney Corners Resort is looking for a full-time housekeeper for 2025! Chimney Corners is a locally owned and operated third-generation business in Benzie County. We cultivate a family environment and are looking to someone to add to the team full-time!
Compensation: Starting at $15/hr with end of season bonus available
Start date: April 7.
Typical schedule: 30-40 hours/5 days a week, work days/shifts may vary. Shift is 8:00 am-4:30 pm.
Season overview: Pre-season and Spring Season (April 7-End of May) doesn't include weekends. Once the busy season starts in June, the weekly schedule includes Saturdays and possibly Sundays through the end of the season in October. Last day for the season is typically mid-November. Saturdays in high-season are changeover days and are mandatory. After the end of the season, employees are elligible for unemployment.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to follow instructions as given by the Head of Housekeeping and/or manager on duty
- Cleaning and arranging unit rooms and property areas to our specifications (includes cottages, apartments, historic Lodge, beach/bathroom area)
- Laundering dirty bedding, towels or other linens
- Stocking and safely use housekeeping supplies
- Reporting breakages, damages and safety issues for repairs
- Must be able to climb stairs, have the ability to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or lift items and work in a standing position for an extended period of time
- This candidate could be trained to act as a team lead for part-time Saturday cleaners that come in to assist with change-overs
- Other housekeeping duties as they arise
