Crystal Lake Alpaca Farm and Boutique is looking for a friendly and reliable Part-Time and/or full-time Retail Associate to join our team! If you have a passion for high-quality, natural fiber products and enjoy creating a welcoming shopping experience, we’d love to hear from you. We are a family-owned and operated farm and boutique located in Frankfort, MI. We offer a unique shopping experience to all who visit, an animal park where customers can pet and feed the alpacas and meet the mini donkeys, and a children's play area. We birth about 13 alpaca babies a year and are home to 70 alpacas (and counting!).
Responsibilities:
? Open and close the boutique independently
? Handle petty cash and operate the point-of-sale system
? Provide excellent customer service and assist shoppers with product selection and basic alpaca knowledge
? Stock and organize inventory to maintain a well-presented store
? Keep the boutique clean and inviting for guests
Qualifications:
? Knowledge of retail methods and practices, including merchandising, sales, and basic
accounting.
? Ability to recognize and understand customer needs and provide information about
products, services, policies, and warranties.
? Ability to maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance.
? Ability to deal with a variety of people in a pleasant manner while working in a retail
environment.
? Ability to communicate clearly with other employees and customers using a variety of
methods.
? Knowledge of industry standards for handling cash, checks, credit cards, electronic funds
transfers, refunds, returns, chargebacks, etc.
? Excellent customer service
? Retail experience a plus but not required
? Responsible, punctual, and detail-oriented
? Ability to work independently and take initiative
? Comfortable handling transactions and basic cash management
? Passion for sustainable, high-quality products
