Mission Statement

The mission of the Benzie Area Symphony Orchestra is to prepare, promote, and  perform orchestral music to audiences from the Benzie County area.

The mission is supported by three mutually reinforcing elements:

Artistic Excellence: promote a standard of excellence in orchestral music

Musical Development: provide a musical environment that encourages  lifelong musical participation and enjoyment

Education: ensure growth in musical skills and knowledge of orchestral music

Boat Slips and Storage, Kayak Trips, Lodging, Convenience Store & tackle Box with beer and wine.  Fishing Licenses.  Betsie Bay Marina is a family friendly marina located just minutes by boat from the premier salmon and  steelhead fishing offered by Lake Michigan.  Come enjoy our well equipped slips surrounded by the best that Northern Michigan has to offer.   Our marina is wonderfully located less than a mile from a secluded beach and just steps from the Elberta Waterfront Park where you can wander through history or enjoy the playscape and picnic areas.  The marina is at the foot of the Elberta Bluffs, at the head of the Betsie Valley Biking Trail and at the mouth of the Betsie River.  Take advantage of these wonderful natural resources by  allowing us to equip you with our hiking supplies or our onsite bike and kayak rentals.  The quaint town of Frankfort with it's wide variety of shopping and dining is only 5 minutes away.  The number of day trips via car or boat is staggering. If you are sitting around doing nothing, it is because our marina is a wonderful place to do that too!

The Betsie Valley Trail is 22 miles long and extends from Frankfort through Elberta and Beulah to Thompsonville in Benzie County Michigan. The Friends of the Betsie Valley Trail is a 501(c)3 charitable organization whose sole purpose is to foster the development and successful operation of the Trail by providing financial, promotional, volunteer labor and supervisorial support.
