Once again, the Oliver Art Center hosts a giant community BBQ to kick off summer. Join us for a pork bbq dinner with all the fixins' cold beer and beverages, live music from the Dune Brothers and artist demos featuring glass blowing, blacksmithing, basket making and pottery throwing. Ticket price includes dinner (with sides and salads for non-meat eaters), 2 drink tickets, music and artist demos.

The dynamic award-winning string ensemble, Kodak Quartet will perform at The Oliver Art Center (OAC) in collaboration with Interlochen Public Radio’s Sound Garden Project on Friday, July 12 at 7:00 pm. Kodak Quartet is highly regarded for their work with contemporary composers and for presenting traditional music with a contemporary flair. Their members hail from the U.S., Canada and France. Interlochen Public Radio’s Sound Garden Project’s mission is to plant classical music in unexpected places as they reimagine the performance experience. In their ambitious hands, a concert becomes an event, and an audience becomes a community of inspiration, understanding and hope.

Lakeside Shakespeare presents Romeo & Juliet—experience the magic of outdoor theater performed by an ensemble of professional Chicago actors. Pre-show begins at 6:30pm, show begins at 7pm. 

Admission is pay-what-you-can with a suggested donation of $30 for adults and $10 for kids 12 & under. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket, your own picnic, and enjoy the Bard under the stars!
