The Frankfort-Elberta Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to apply to the 45th Annual Frankfort Art Fair to be held in Market Square Park in historic Frankfort on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan.  Outdoor Fine Art Fair in Frankfort Michigan.

Frankfort Art Fair

Frankfort Art Fair
The biggest weekend of the summer in Frankfort will begin on Friday, August 20 when Art Fair exhibitors will be in Market Square Park providing a preview of their art for purchase from 1pm - 7pm. The Frankfort United Methodist Church will host their annual Pulled Pork Picnic and also that evening, there will be a Concert in the Park at Mineral Springs Park at 7pm.
 
On Saturday, August 21, the 45th Annual Frankfort Art Fair will continue where over 150 artists will be displaying their work from 10 AM - 4 PM in Market Square Park on M-22.  
 
Also on Saturday, the Collector Car Show is back and will be held in Mineral Springs Park in downtown Frankfort.  Registration begins at 8 am and presentation of awards after the judging at 1:30pm.
 
 
The Benzie Bus FREE shuttle service is available from 10am - 4pm.  NO PETS will be allowed into Market Square Park on Friday or Saturday.
 
This event is coordinated by the Frankfort-Elberta Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by their Corporate Premier Sponsors:  TC Tourism, State Savings Bank, Graceland Fruit, West Shore Bank and Curtis Insurance.

Song of the Lakes

Song of the Lakes
The mesmerizing musical talents, of the Song of the Lakes, will be heard, with the collaboration of the Benzie Area Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Tom Riccobono. Three new selections, arranged by Tony Manfredonia, will be premiered at this concert.  "Man in the Mirror", "White Bird", and "Old Testament Sky" are orchestrated for the
Song of the Lakes and the Benzie Area Symphony Orchestra.  Popular selections, "Benzie Rover", and "Pearl of America" will also be featured.

The BASO will also play "Overture to Die Fledermaus" by Strauss and "Symphony No. 1 Finale" by Brahms.

Habitat for Humanity of Benzie County Benefit Golf Outing

The 2021 Habitat for Humanity of Benzie County Benefit Golf Outing will be taking place at the beautiful Crystal Lake Golf Club on Friday, August 27, 2021. You are invited to join us and support our efforts to build affordable housing in Benzie County. 

Benzie Habitat has just begun construction of another energy efficient, affordable home for a low-income working family. Your participation in the Habitat for Humanity of Benzie County Benefit Golf Outing will help us continue this very important mission. 

Golfers, please complete the attached Registration Form and send it with your payment to the address provided on the form. Checks should be made payable to HFH of Benzie County. We are deeply grateful for your support and look forward to seeing you at Crystal Lake Golf Club on Friday, August 27. 

Sponsors, you are invited to join us and support our important work by sponsoring a hole and/or cart. A hole and cart is $150, a hole is $100 and a cart is $50. Signs with sponsor names will be placed at tee boxes, on golf carts, or both. Also, all sponsors will be listed in the event program, a thank-you advertisement in the Record-Patriot and all Benzie Habitat social media. CELEBRATION SUNDAY - ALL INVITED!

The church family at Blaine Christian Church is  “Alive and Breathing” and wants to extends an open invitation to our entire community to come to the church for “CELEBRATION  SUNDAY” on September 12, 2021.

We will celebrate together when we gather for Sunday School (for all ages) at 9:45 am, then during the Morning Service at 11 am, and continue the celebration during a Pig Roast at 12:30 pm, which will include some fun family activities (lawn games, bounce house, horse drawn wagon rides, dunk tank, face painting).

It’s powerful and amazing when we’re together!  If  you’ve been away from church for awhile, or it’s time for you to connect with a church home and a church family, we welcome you to come be encouraged at this free event and celebrate with us!

Blaine Christian Church is located at 7018 Putney Road (corner of Joyfield and Putney Roads), in Arcadia.

HEAVENLY  APPLE  PIES

Blaine Christian Church will once again hold their Annual Heavenly Apple Pie Day.  Fresh, homemade, 8 inch apple pies will be available for $9 each.

Make your upcoming holiday dinners easier and help those who are in need at the same time - call the church, 231/352-9148, to order your pies by the deadline of Friday, October 22nd.  Pies will be uncooked and ready to bake or freeze.

Pie orders will need to be picked up at Blaine Township Hall between Noon and 2 pm on Friday, November 5th.  Directions to Blaine Township Hall:  travel on M-22, turn west on White Owl Road, continue until the road ends.  Address is:  4760 Herring Grove Road, Arcadia.

Pies can be paid for when picked up either with cash or a check payable to:  Blaine CWF.

Blaine Christian Church strives to “love our neighbors” in our community and in our world.  When you purchase heavenly apple pies, ALL funds raised are given to Benzie County missions agencies and other national missions organizations.

Blaine Christian Church is located at 7018 Putney Road (corner of Joyfield and Putney Roads).  You and your family are welcome to get to know our church family on Sunday mornings at 8:30 am (contemporary service), or at 11 am (blended service).  Separate activities, through “Kid’s Kare”, are provided at each service for children 2 - 6 years old.  Sunday School classes for children 2 years old through adults meet at 9:45 am.

Frankfort Fall Festival

The annual Fall Festival festivities begin at 11:00 am with the Fall Festival Parade, featuring The Scottville Clown Band, GIANT pumpkins, locally built floats and the always popular Mutt March.    

We are accepting participants for the Parade and Mutt March. Parade Applications can be picked up at the Frankfort-Elberta Chamber Office, on their website at www.frankfort-elberta.com!    

Don't forget to grab your 2021 Fall Festival Souvenir T-Shirts and souviner stickers at the Frankfort-Elberta Chamber of Commerce booth the day of the festival or at the Chamber office 517 Main St. Frankfort prior to the festival and/or after.   

Directly following the parade, a host of activities will take place in the Open Space Park.    

Mutt March Awards    

Live Music featuring The Scottville Clown Band will perform under the Big Tent, which also features domestic beer and wine and beer from Stormcloud, Wine, Mead from St. Ambrose and Cocktails from Iron Fish!    

GIANT pumpkins, squash and watermelon weigh-in.    

Kids 5-15 years of age can guess the weight of a giant pumpkin and have the opportunity to win a brand new BIKE!    

Pumpkin Ed Moody will be there carving a giant pumpkin.    

Food Available in Open Space by TC Taco    

First Congregational Church will host their Cake Walk at 1pm    

Who doesn't love a Pie Eating Contest?! (Register at 1:00pm - contest begins at 1:30pm)    

Our Fall Festival would not be the same without the CRAZY Pumpkin Drop! 2:30pm near boat launch.  Sorry, NO TREBUCHET for launching pumpkins.  

A wide variety of activities will be available from 11:00 am - 3:30pm in the Open Space:

A Beer, Wine, Mead and Cocktail Tent (Open until 5pm) After the Scottville Clown Band, Bill Frary will play live until 5pm    

Fall Craft Fair    

Pumpkin Decorating, "Hillbilly Olimpiks"-the silly-themed obstacle course.    

Popular Kid's Games and a Corn Maze will be all set up in Open Space Park for all to enjoy.    

Don't miss Live Music at Stormcloud Brewing Company. Music Starts at 7pm  .The returning BEER, WINE, MEAD and COCKTAIL TENT will be in the Open Space starting at 11am. Celebrate Frankfort Beer Week with a fun Beer tent with Live Music featuring the Scottville Clown Band and Bill Frary.

Frankfort Halloween Trick or Treating & Trunk or Treat

Treat or Treaters have the whole community to Trick!  Our "Country Community" is welcome to decorate their trunks and open them to distrbute their treats on Main St.  Back your vehicle in to a parking spot on Main Street  between 4th and 6th Streets so that you can distribute your treats to the Tricksters on the sidewalk.

 

Trick or Treating and Trunk or Treat are both 5-8pm.
